Some tips and answers to frequently asked questions to help make your student experience a phenomenal one!

Signing Up For Classes

When we’re finally running classes again, they’ll be listed on our Eventbrite page, on our calendar, and announced on MeetUp and Facebook. Class tickets are on sale until 4 days before the class at 11:30p, with the exception of some of our virtual puppet classes, which have a cut-off date of 14-10 days before to allow for shipping of your puppet-making kit. Members of The WorcShop get discounts on classes, and can also do equipment certifications for the different tools and equipment we have in each shop. Our full class brochure with the most up-to-date pricing can be found on Our Wiki! Until our classes are running again, perspective students can fill out our Class Interest Form to be notified as soon as the class or classes you’re interested in taking are running again. Students who had their classes postponed due to COVID back in 2020 will be notified as soon as their specific class is available, we did NOT forget about you!

Leading Up to Your Class

In the weeks and days leading up to your class, if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to email us at so we can answer them for you. Students are asked to show up in proper shop attire: nonflammable clothing, esp cotton or natural fibers; closed-toed shoes, boots preferred; hair tied back, jewelry stowed; and earplugs recommended. You do NOT have to print your ticket, your instructor will have your name on a list (so make sure you tell them the name you signed up under)!
What if my class doesn’t make min enrollment?
If the class does not reach minimum enrollment, by the date specified in the listing (normally 3-7 days prior to the event) it will be canceled. Students will have the option of transferring their ticket to another class or receiving a refund. (Members can pay an additional 50% of the ticket price to take class privately, Non-Members can purchase a second ticket.)

What’s the refund policy?

If you cannot make it to class and request a refund no later than 14 days prior, you will be refunded your entire ticket price.
If you request a refund, 3 – 13 days prior to class & your seat is filled by another student you will be refunded 90% of your ticket price.
If the seat remains vacant you will only be refunded 50% of your ticket price.
If you request a refund less than 3 days prior to the event The WorcShop reserves the right to retain the ticket price in full.
If you do not attend, for any reason, The WorcShop retains the ticket price in full. You may take the class at a later scheduled date for 50% off the ticket price (this fee goes entirely to our instructors, to compensate them in full for their time.)
